Carnes Hill Music Teachers

Spreading the joy of playing music and making it accessible to all.

Thanks Tim 😊 She is progressing very well with her music and is enjoying playing her pieces. Great progress thanks to you 👍

Edward

Just want to say thank you for all your patience and perseverance with my girls who have made great progress in a short period of time with their piano lessons passing their AMEB exams with excellent results (both achieving grade A results). You did an amazing job coaching them despite being in lockdown for a significant time leading up to the exams. Looking forward to seeing further progress as they continue on their musical journey with you

Amelia

Glad to have found a great violin teacher in the area. My son has been going for over a year and he thoroughly enjoys the lesson. Lessons are engaging and with a passionate teacher I don’t even have to remind him to practise each week

Alex

I am really appreciative that you used different strategies to engage my son and have made a plan for his future learning. I am very impressed with the techniques you have used every lesson we have been.

Being located in the suburb of Carnes Hill NSW, we hope to serve the growing area of South Western Sydney in simplifying music learning and making it accessible to all. FAQ

Studies has shown that babies as young as two months can tell if two notes sound pleasing or jarring together. So, with the right teacher and tailored lesson plans to your child’s needs, you can never go wrong with starting music lessons early. This allows more time to discover your child’s hidden talent either in music or something else.

Based on a wealth of scientific research over the years, it has been shown that musical activity involves nearly every region of the brain that we know about. Music study benefits both brain structure and brain function from increasing attention span and focus to increasing your IQ and memory.

Adding music to your child's never-ending list of school and extracurricular commitment can be a mistake if you’re not sure what you hope to achieve. Our teachers do not follow a strict curriculum but instead focuses on personalised fun and engaging lessons for each individual student to inspire self-motivated learners.

The truth is, there is no shortcut to learning a new skill or instrument, however a good teacher will use the simplest and most effective teaching method to accelerate their student’s progress. Let us focus on building the foundational playing skills for you, whilst you enjoy making music in your own leisure, in a community, or to impress your friends.

Piano

“There’s nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself”

J S Bach

[Advanced: 60-80mins]

Violin

“If you put your hand on the piano, you play a note. It’s in tune. But if you put it on the violin, maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. You have to figure it out.”

Itzhak Perlman

Make sure you bring a notepad and a pen as we’ll be learning to play the instrument from the first lesson.

Depending on the interest and goals of the student, lessons can either be focused on preparing for music exams or simply for fun and leisure.

Not to worry as both the violin and the piano can be used to play the pop music today. Having the skills to play these instruments also allows you to play the electric violin or keyboard synthesisers that are used in the composition of pop music.
